ECHUCA TOUR
5 Day Tour from Victoria
Day 1:
Leave from your pickup point and make your way towards Echuca with morning and afternoon tea and lunch stops along the way.
On arrival in Echuca check into the Motel - with time to freshen up before Dinner.
Day 2:
After breakfast we make our way towards the Port of Echuca to discover the story of Echuca and how the Murray river played a huge part in giving life to Echuca Moama. You will be captivated by the story of the Port of Echuca and you will be transported back in time when the paddlesteamers churned the waters, taking valuable goods downstream, enhancing the development of the town. You will then join one of the paddlesteamers for a short tranquil cruise along the beautiful Murray river.
After the cruise make your way in and around the town to find yourself somewhere nice to have a light lunch.
After lunch you will then make your way to look at a more modern way of transportation to the National Holden Museum which is well worth a visit, then enjoy a stroll around town.
Next is to return to the Motel for relaxation and Dinner.
Day 3:
Following another lovely breakfast you will board the coach for a trip to Strathmerton to visit Cactus Country, which is Australia's largest Cactus garden. Cactus Country is a little piece of Mexico on the Murray. There are 12 acres of gardens to explore.
Next stop is to the township of Koonoomoo to stop off at the Big Strawberry where you will enjoy a tour through the facility highlighting the production area, history room, man cave with wine and product tasting. Here you will enjoy a light lunch.
After lunch you will return to Echuca via Moama (the scenic way) to enjoy some silo art on the way. Stopping at Moama at the St Annes Winery for some lovely wine tasting.
Then back to the Motel for some spare time prior to your Dinner.
Day 4:
After breakfast this morning, board the coach and make your way to Kyabram to visit the Kyabram Fauna Park, where you can enjoy some time around the park and even a cuppa while watching the busy Meerkats.
Next you move onto the township of Rochester, where you will visit the Sports Museum. The Museum has over 4000 exhibits, including Test cricketer Adam Gilchrist's wicket-keeping gloves; Greg "The Shark" Norman's iconic hat; champion Tennis player, Martina Navratilova's tennis dress; and potato farmer turned marathon runner Cliff Young's tracksuit.
Lunch is your next stop prior to returning to Echuca.
Back in Echuca you will then visit the Great Aussie Beer Shed & Heritage Farm Museum, to look over one of the most interesting and unique tourist attractions in Victoria with something for everyone to enjoy.
Then you will make your way back to the Motel and for Dinner.
Day 5:
After breakfast board your coach for your return to your destination with stops along the way for Morning Tea and Lunch.
